all is calm, all is bright

This our first Christmas as a family of four and our first Christmas in two years.  Last year we moved at the beginning of December and barely had things unpacked by Christmas, so we had no tree, decorations, or cookies.  We were thankful for the presents family and friends sent to us, but A and I did not get W anything because of the cost of the move.  This year I want things to be different.  We got a beautiful live tree, decorated the whole house, baked cookies (and more to still bake), and we have tons of presents.

Stockings were all hung by the chimney with care...
W's kept flopping over, otherwise this would have been a cool shot :)

O Christmas tree how lovely are your branches...
W had the manager destroyed, but it's a cute set my mom made. He takes baby Jesus everywhere.

Have yourself a Merry little Christmas...

Fall on your knees and hear the angels voices...

I'm getting nuthin for Christmas...
Just kidding :) Hubby surprised me with this brand new camera.  It's a Canon Powershot SX150 IS (whatever all that means).  It is a point and shoot, but it has a decent manual setting, so it's a great way to start out learning about photography.  Besides, I know plenty of people who have DSLRs that think just because they have a fancy camera they are professional photographers. I know I don't have the eye photography and will never be a professional, but it's something I enjoy.
