Ten years ago I was 13 years old and I could have been in a more awkward phase of my life. I had braces, I wore glasses, and I'm pretty sure I hadn't figured out how not to have greasy hair...not to mention this was the peak of acne's plague on my life. I don't have any pictures to share, unfortunately, but I know that my style would probably be classified as "trendy" (probably more like wannabe). I wanted to wear all the labels everyone else was wearing - American Eagle, Abercrombie & Fitch, etc. My mom, however, wasn't too keen on keeping up with trends so most of the stuff I wore at that point came from Charlotte Russe or Old Navy. I wish I could say that I had a positive image of myself at 13, but that just wasn't the case. I don't think I'm alone in saying it's tough to be a teenage girl! Thankfully I survived with no problem and the only "scars" I'm left with are the humiliating memories - this was the year I danced with my crush, only to make a huge embarrassment of myself...and I'm pretty sure my butterfly dress did not help matters :P
