a party courtesy of houseparty.com, shutterfly, and bzz agent (oh and pinterest)

Saturday I hosted my Shutterfly party courtesy of houseparty.com. They sent me all the stuff I needed for the party including plenty of codes for free cards and free calendars, $10 gift cards to Plum District, balloons, and a cute stand for my holiday card. On top of that, I was also sent 5 Maybelline Baby Lips (5 different kinds!) and 5 Maybelline Lots of Lashes mascara. I kept one of each to try for myself in order to write a review and then I put the rest in swag bags for my guests. I also included something to snack on and 30 things to take a picture of in November (one for each day, via pinterest) :
I decided to do a trial run for W's birthday cupcakes with my first attempt at homemade cream cheese icing. They actually didn't turn out too bad! My piping skills are rather messy, but I'm going to try borrowing a piping set so they might look a tiny bit better. I followed lots of different directions on pinterest to bake them the best and for my icing recipe. I also made a Sonic Cherry Limeade.It was a lot of fun to host this party and I really hope to do something like this again. (Although with us moving it'll be difficult to probably host parties until I meet some people).
